Reasons For Sudden Shut Down Of Federal Polytechnic Idah By Sug President 2017
The incident started in the evening by 7:50pm when a student by the name Gabriel Ajeh from computer science who came from otukpo branch was attacked at his lodge by armed robbers.
During the incident the armed robbers requested for his phone which he refused due to dragging for phone with the armed robbers he was stabbed in the stomach and the phone was collected from him.
later some minites when he regain strenght he ran after the thief and was shouting thief other follow the pursue untill the boy fell down.
during the time mr sagacious came with some neighbour and rush him on bike to the school clinic by 8pm upon requesting for id by the school clinic personal they later referred the boy to general hospital for effective treatment.
on their way going the boy died and the body was brought back to the school before some student ran to the the sug quarter and gave them the news immediately the S U G president called the town police station.
in the morning some angry student went to the school clinic and destroy the clinic bed tv car park windows etc from captured it can be tell that the clinic will need serious attention the student reason been that why did the school clinic personal requested for id card before treating a dying patient.
in the process of the meeting with management the director of social said it is the incapability an incompetency of d management that is causing all those crisis, in the process of stopping the Navy from molesting student director of social sug was even picked by the Navy, but has been released after much agitation from the Union an student at large
upon returning of the sug president and others student from the village of the boy it was reported that The parent of the boy was bitter due to the situation but seeing the presence of the sug president and the large number of student that came they calm down.
but later this morning the school is being shut down because last night information reached the school authority that some student are still planning for another demonstration of their anger.
for peaceful resolution the sug president, the Director of social Comr Adaidu Alexander and other executive held a meeting with the school authority today dropping some terms and condition for the school that will favour led the student in future time and will also calm down all angry student
Here Are The Conditions Before The student Enter Class
ID card should be provided for all student before 2week
school Security staff should be oriented
the securing should be given weapon
That the arthourity should sack all medical personal
They should repair the clinic
They should fence all open entrance
All student should have their ID card on them all time including lecturer
Permit should be provided for visitor
As well as issues of street light should be properly handled
Until the sug get relevant resolution from the school the school is to be shut down for a minimum of one month

Sug should take the matter serious although one month strike is good to enable student comedown but SUG should not allow management to leavy any student on this matter, (2)that school ID card is a matter of urgency because up till now public administrator ND2 don’t have school ID card and we round up this year the complain was giving HOD of the department and nothing was well don, so sug should let the management know thanks, and all public administrator student are condole with the department of computer science for the lot and the family God will give them heart to bear the lost

The school management should not forget to recommend and show positive support to all the school paramilitary bodies such as the INSTITUTION CADET COPRS (NAVAL CADET),MAN O WAR, MUSLIM CADET CATHOLIC CADET AND BOYS BRIGADE… for they are the one who where able to calm down the situation from escalating to a high degree …REST IN PEACE Bro GABRIEL
