Kabba Community to honour Governor Yahaya Bello as Grand Brand Ambassador

All routes led to the ancient city of Kabba, the headquarter of Kogi West Senatorial District, and Okun Yoruba speaking nation in Kogi State as the Kabba Development Union (KDU) stage a world class and biggest festival in the sub-sahara region of the Limpopo on the 4th November, 2017 at the Kabba township stadium in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of the state.
Disclosing this in an interview with newsmen in Lokoja, the President-General of KDU, Engineer Emmanuel Ajibero said that the Central Planning Committee has concluded all arrangements to have a hitch-free event that will showcase and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Kabba Owe people, noting that the festival is also geared towards promoting unity, peace and development of the community.
According to him, Governor Yahaya Bello has been nominated as the Grand Brand Ambassador of the 2017 edition of Kabba Day Cultural Festival, stressing that the Governor has proved to be an outstanding administrator in managing the resources of the State.
He said, the committee is working round the clock to host dignitaries from all walks of life, both indigenes and visitors that will grace the occasion, appealing to youths of the community at large and their friends to cooperate with the security men as the venue will be fortified with adequate security to protect lives and property.
Meanwhile, Governor Yahaya Bello has given a nod to attend the epoch making event this Saturday, disclosing this in a press statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Honourable Speaker, of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Femi Olugbemi, confirmed that the Governor has graciously agreed to attend the program in person to honour the Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Olushola Kolawole, who is a son of the soil to celebrate the rich culture of Kabba Owe people.
The statement further confirmed that the Governor will be attending the event with other top members of his cabinet and government functionaries especially those from Kogi West Senatorial District to rejoice with Kabba community.
“Governor Yahaya Bello’s decision to attend this year Kabba Day Cultural Festival celebration has shown he is a man that loves his people and always willing to associate himself with the grassroots”.
While congratulating the Kabba Owe Traditional Council, led by the His Royal Highness, Oba Michael Oladele Yusuf, the Ololu Obadofin of Oweland, the Executive members of the Kabba Development Union (KDU) led by the President-General, Engineer Emmaunel Ajibero, the Central Planning Committee and the entire people of the community on the auspicious occasion of the cultural celebration, Rt. Hon. Kolawole enjoined all and sundry to support and cooperate with the current administration in moving the State forward.
The elated Speaker welcome the Governor in advance to the biggest festival in November in the Sub-Sahara region of Africa, urging all appointees and government functionaries to join the Governor to grace the occasion in his honour, promising that the event will be an eye opener to the promotion of the  Culture and tourism sector of the State.
He called on the people of the community to continue to support the new direction government in order to fast track the development of the community.
Other dignitaries expected at the occasion include, the Ooni of Ile –Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, other prominent royal fathers, politician, business men, diplomats and technocrats.
